Babies are strongly attracted to faces, whether real or in picture. Faces satisfy many requirements for them. The bright eyes and dark mouth provide a lot of contrast, while the hairline provides a distinct frame to stimulate peripheral vision.
Each day as your baby grows, he will enjoy your face as a toy to entertain him and capture his interest. Gradually, your baby would look more closely at your eyes and mouth, as these are the features that convey critical information to him about your emotional state – Is mom happy? Is she making a sad face? Your baby is noticing all. Your moving lips, bright eyes or your simply saying, “How are you?” makes a huge impact.
Though your baby doesn’t yet understand these words, but your lips, eyes make him understand that you are giving him comfort.

Spending time in face to face, eye to eye contact with your child though happens so naturally and normally – like while changing a diaper, watching her during feeding, pointing out to things while standing in your balcony or taking a walk, but the digital life we are leading might sometimes sabotage our intentions. So, it is here, where we need to be more mindful and aware to not let that happen.
Your mobile screen will never lose anything if you don’t make an eye contact with it, but those little eyes thrive on your frequent gazes. There is nothing so blissful than these moments. And I am sure you will agree.
